On Friday 7th May we hosted our first Open competition with a full field of ladies taking part in the Ladies Over 55's Open.
The weather conditions were favourable with the sun shining for the majority of the day.
The prize winners on the day were:

2nd Place - Paula Bennett, Carol Furlong, Sally Neiger and Miwaka Ito (Lingdale & Breadsall Priory) - 78points
3rd Place - Christine Rudkin, Trish Crighton, Carla Myhill and Elizabeth Johnson (All Elton Furze) - 77points l/r
4th Place - Katherine Hoyland, Lorraine Washington, Lorraine Wells and Carmel Quinn Jarvis (All Scraptoft) - 77points
5th Place - Sue Ayre, Sue Smith, Ann Bancroft and Elaine Edwards (All Hinckley) - 76points

On Friday 25th September Lingdale hosted the rescheduled Ladies Over 55's Open. In cold windy conditions scoring proved difficult with the course playing long following recent heavy rain.

On Thursday 24th September Lingdale hosted the rescheduled Mixed Over 55's Open. Heavy rain overnight, a cold wind during the day along with a heavy shower during the day made scoring difficult for all the teams.

On Saturday 5th September, Lingdale hosted the annual Gents Invitation. The sun shone throughout the day but a strong wind and golf course which was playing long made scoring difficult.

Lingdale Golf Club hosted the final event of our Festival Week with a Mixed AmAm competition on Sunday 26th August. The weather conditions throughout the day were better than those experienced by the players earlier in the week but the recent rain made scoring difficult.
