Introduction
Here at Lingdale Golf Club we are very proud of the Junior Section and the manner in which it has developed over the past couple of years, with a group of around twenty regularly attending Evie Carter’s Junior Golf Academy.
The Junior Academy is ran by a dedicated and enthusiastic team led by with Evie Carter (PGA Professional) and Steve Meadwell (Junior Organiser). They are further supported by the Club Manager, Welfare Office and the Head Professional. Lingdale's Junior Academy prides itself on providing a safe, fun environment for our members to learn about the game of golf and the life skills which it offers whilst having fun and developing friendships within the group.
Lingdale Golf Club achieved SafeGolf accreditation in March 2021 which is then reviewed on an annual basis.
How the Junior Academy Works
The academy runs every Saturday afternoon between May and October and then monthly during the winter months. The sessions run for two hours and consists of tuition from PGA Professional, Evie Carter whilst maintaining the element of fun with skills challenges, games and energetic learning playing a key part in the process. All juniors in the Academy then begin to work towards their US Kids Golf awards which are hugely popular with the Junior Academy members. As well as receiving two hours of tuition with Evie, members of the academy also receive a basic junior membership as part of the package.
