General Club Noticeboard

On Wednesday 2nd November, we hosted our annual Ladies Winter Open.

The weather conditions although blustery were much better than the previous day but scoring still proved difficult.

The winners of the competition on the day were:

1st Place - Jackie Wilson, Carole Stothard, Louise Barrett & Helen Long (Belton Park & Belton Woods) - 77points

2nd Place - Lorraine Charles, Sheila Plant, Sue Hargreaves & Jill Woodford (Lingdale & Scraptoft) - 73points

3rd Place - Christine O'Neil, Julia Dunkley, Sue Barkes & Ruth Palmer (Kibworth) - 70points

4th Place - Barbara Perkins, Sheila Godber, Jame Smeeton & Sue Green (Rushcliffe & Ruddington) - 70points

Well done to all the prize winners and thanks to all those who supported the event.

On Sunday 28th August we hosted the final day of our Festival Week.

The weather was once again very good with the sun shining throughout the day. There were twenty six teams in the field with a signifcant number of golf clubs represented and scoring was again very good.

On Friday 26th August we hosted the Festival Week Ladies AmAm.

The competition was again well supported with thirty four teams from a large number of clubs playing in the event. The weather conditions were perfect for good scoring with a significant number of teams beating par.

On Thursday 25th August we hosted the Festival Week Seniors AmAm.

The competition was again well supported with twenty four teams from a large number of golf clubs competing. Unfortunately, there were a number of heavy rain showers throughout the day but scoring remained good with the almost all teams beating par.

The winners of the competition were:

1^st Place – Derek Westwood, Mick Fitzgerald, David Goodwin & David Towers – All Lingdale – 89points

2^nd Place – Malcolm Ammatt, Vincent Smith, Chris Neve & Graham Pass – Mickleover & Kedleston – 87points

3^rd Place – Kevin Doherty, Paul Shelton, Robin Fenn & Gerry Paton – Burton, Branston & Kings Norton - 84points

4^th Place -Kevin Ledger, Michael Dilks, Chris Bearsdley & Graham Greenhalgh –Ruddington Grange & Erewash – 83points l/r
