Lingdale Golf Club hosted our third Festival Week competition on Friday 27th August with a Ladies AmAm competition taking place. There were thirty three teams entered into the competition with the weather continuing to be warm yet overcast.
The prize winners of the competition were:
1st Place - Sue Pallett, Lynda Bramley, Lisa Porter & Glenda Yeldham - 86points
2nd Place - Jean Bingham, Niciola Taylor, Margaret Brooks & J Omerod - 82points
3rd Place - Carole Pickering, Alsion Horak, Susan Davis & Ann Howard - 81points l/r
4th Place - Pauline Dignan, Liz Knight, Jane Bone & Maureen Moakes - 81points l/r
5th Place - Karen Docherty, Annie Martin, Susan McKenchie & Val Oswin - 81points

Lingdale hosted its annual Mixed Over 55's Open on Thursday 10th June. The temperatures on the day were slightly cooler than in recent days but scoring was competivie.
The prizes winners on the day were:
1st Place - John Rossiter, Sue Rossiter, Richard Malyon & Di de Middelaer (All Lingdale) - 84points
2nd Place - Kev Pallett, Sue Pallett, Glynn Bramley & Lynda Bramley (Lingdale & Beedles Lake) - 80points
3rd Place - Paul Bartram, Gill Bartram, Gill Tubb & Alan Tubb (All Rushcliffe) - 75points
4th Place - Peter Loram, Glenda Loram, Carol Bancroft & Leslie Bancroft (All Maxstoke Park) - 74points l/r

Despite the fine weather scoring still proved difficult for the majority of the field.
