On Wednesday 21st August we commenced our annual Festival Week with a Texas Scramble.
The competition had a field of 128 players from a variety of different golf clubs around the Midlands and beyond. The weather stayed fair for the entire day despite becoming overcast in the later afternoon.
The results from the competition were:
1st Place - David McGuire, Dave Watson, Jeff Mee & Bob Smith (All Ormonde Fields) - 49.3
2nd Place - Alan Barber, Glenn Sheppard, Andy Werstyn & Steve Kirk (All Lingdale) - 53.4
3rd Place - Dan Sellears, Tommy Fairlie, Regan Le Lacheur & Jonathan Rumming (All Lingdale) - 54.6
4th Place - John Marversley, Peter Wall, Geoff Dent & Gary Thorpe (All Cold Ashby) - 55.4
