On New Year’s Day 2012 two Ancient Olympians arrived on the 1st Tee at Lingdale in the form of Club Captain Andy Giddings and Lady Captain Kathy Jex seen in the pictures below suitably attired for their drive in to formally start their term of office.
Lingdale member Duane hayes won the 'Guess the difference' between the Captains Drives (49 metres) and the Captains' Charities immediately benefited from the £317.00 that was raised from this initiative.
