New Years Day 2011 saw Ian Poulter and Miguel Angel Jiminez turn up on the 1st Tee at Lindgale. Unfortunately, these were not the Ryder Cup heroes from Celtic Manor but the Ladies Captain - Adrianne Jones - and the Club Captain - John Onsworth - suitably attired for the drive in to formally start their term of office.
Lingdale member Jerry Goodman won the 'Guess the difference' between Captains Drives (109 metres) and the Captains' Charities immediately benefited from the £400.00 that was raised from this initiative.
